Dr. Marlon Atherton
Marlon has been called and anointed by God to be a vessel at the time of my birth. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at a tender age and was baptized at age 11. He served in ministry in many facets to include the youth, worship, marriage, and both teaching and preaching God’s Kingdom message. Marlon has also served in Iraq, Afghanistan and Korea to soldiers while being deployed.
He is the son of Trinidadian natives Evangelist Sydney and Mary Atherton. He is happily married for over 17 years to a very supportive wife, Shenita. They have three beautiful children. Marlon Jr. 15, Sarai 13, and Malik 8.
He accepted the call to ministry after a near death experience while travelling with his wife and older two older children. Marlon believes that it was God telling him to stop running and blaming Him for the lost of his father. He was ordained to preach the Gospel. He served on Active duty military for 13 years before accepting the call as a Reserve Army Chaplain in 2015.
He holds degrees in Military Intelligence Operation from Cochise College; a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Wayland Baptist University; a Master of Science degree in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University; a Master of Divinity from Great Plains Baptist Divinity School; and a Doctor of Divinity.
He has a servant’s heart and an earnest love for people. He enjoys all things business related and understands that God’s Kingdom is a business, the business of saving souls. He and his wife desire to serve in God’s kingdom and present themselves vessels to be used by Him.
